Halloween 2018 - DIY Tutorials - Mythical Characters Halloween Costumes
We love Halloween around here. Mostly because it allows us to be super creative and silly. Each year we think of a new theme and make our costumes around that theme. This has become one of our favorite family traditions. It allows us to tackle new challenges and make lasting memories together. It's hard to believe we have 10+ years of DIY Halloween costumes under our belt and we're still going strong.
Like most years, we start by asking the kids what they want to be. Zander picked a dragon and Zoey a fairy. To go along with their mythical theme, Chris and I chose our own fun mythical characters, a unicorn and gnome.
This year was especially fun since the kids participated in the entire creative process with us.
Here we are, researching and sketching ideas for our costumes together.
In the tutorials, you'll notice they helped quite a bit in putting their costumes together. It was such a fun way to connect with them and really allowed them to see how to make their ideas come to life.
